Being Savannah - Chapter Three Roleplaying Owner

As we left off , I was given SWF by Koray Melson. The first thing I did with the company was switch everybody over that was staying to a new group. I was being offered free land by a friend that owned a club. I decided to accept the offer and move the fed out of OEA. Sugarcube Woller decided to come in and help with the fed. I valued his advice considering he was within SL wrestling since the birth of it basically. He started building me a staging system for the shows.

I will admit that I had no clue what I was doing. Everything is not really what it seems. Of course from the outside everybody always gives their input how they would do things or how things should be done or what should happen , but actually owning a fed is much different. You can't think about what you should do to please yourself or one member of your roster but you have to choose something that will please the whole fed. That is very difficult to do because pleasing the majority will most likely upset a few people.

During the time SWF was just rebuilding after Koray's departure , I signed a lot of future SL wrestling stars. Derrick Zane , Nina Prater , Davidhawk Actor. A lot of these new rookies are now currently well known in our industry. No I am not taking credit for their success at all but this little SWF was their first company really. For the first shows booking wise , I was still SWF Women's Champion. I didn't think that would be fair being an owner and being champion so I allowed Sylk Darkwatch to do a squash match against me and become the first champion right away. I thought this was the right thing to do.

During Sylk's title reign she was a dominate amazon so we were training and building Nina Prater up to battle against her angle wise. Nina was coming along great and really loved learning anything she could. I will remember even booking these shows but I do not remember much. I had a lot going on outside of the fed. I was in modeling school with MPI and I was also working on my first photobook and I was also doing some filming for the Soulless productions remake of "Halloween". I probably wasn't the best option to be running a company but I was doing my best.

Davidhawk Actor won the SWF United States Championship and I was pushing Derrick Zane and Alexius Gant against each other to decide the SWF World Champion. I had some great talent and angles going despite being small. No fed is perfect and of course members clash with each other. I was always having to play ref between people fighting over storylines , or who should win. It was very very stressful, everybody had a point and you had to respect what they were trying to say without pissing off another member of the fed. It's so much easier in everybody's eyes to just fire people because they have an issue about something , but if you did that then you would have nobody to book with. Everybody gets into at least in every company you're in or they get unhappy about something. You gotta do your best to please everybody.

I was really really busy outside the fed and I shouldn't have been running it anyways and I openly admit that. I am not perfect and made some choices I probably shouldn't have but I thought that by taking over the fed would make everybody happy that was upset Koray was closing it. After awhile I decided after talking to Sugarcube that it was best to hand the fed over. I was very busy with stuff and all the fighting and drama between wrestlers was a bit too much. I decided to let XP3 Actor take over the company. Was it the best choice? We know now it wasn't but SWF was on it's last leg anyways. A lot of members wanted to form another company and that was fine. Something happened between JWolf and Davidhawk , I think it was a disrespect issue. I was no longer there to deal with the issue , but David and a few other members decided to leave. Looking back I was angry but you know I understand. Sometimes there are some people you just cannot work with , I've been in that position before.

OEW was formed and it was not out of spite over drama in SWF. David and Derrick told me from the start that they really wanted to open their own company down the road so it was really no surprise to me. To be honest if I could go back now and change things , I would have just given SWF to David or Derrick (and some will strangle me for saying this) then handing it over to XP3. I think it would have survived or transitioned into OEW because they had a lot of great ideas.

Looking back at owning SWF , was it a good time for me? No it was very stressful. Was it a learning experience? Yes what I learned was , is that it is a thankless job. Everybody wants the world given to them and treat you like shit. I respect anybody that puts themselfs in this position. To try and create a forum for people to wrestle. It's a hard job and it's something I would never want to do again.

Chapter 4 will tell the story of my return to VWE (formally XWA) and how that went about and my career there.

- xoxo Sav
